The Gigabytes: Grades 6-8

Gigabytes at Grace & Truth Baptist Church exists to help early teens know and embrace truth in a culture full of confusion and lies. Each week, teens come together to deepen their faith, meet new friends, and create lasting memories. Brother Landon Mann with his wife Kassandra are committed to helping you navigate your teen years with biblical courage and wisdom. Regardless of where you may be on your personal journey of faith, we invite you to experience Jesus Christ on a personal level and see for yourself the difference He will make in your life.

The “gig” in gigabytes as an acronym for “growing in grace.” II Peter 3:18 tells us to “grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”  Won’t you join us as we strive to “grow in grace”?

The Armourbearers:

The Armourbearer is one who bears the arms of another. In the Bible there are many examples of Armourbearers performing their duties to their leader. Armourbearers in ancient times would carry their leader’s armour into battle and also be there to aid and protect them from harm.

Being an Armourbearer is not only an honor and a privileged position to hold, but also it is an excellent expression of servitude, in both serving the Lord and the leader the Lord has placed in our path. An Armourbearer assists their leader in everyday tasks so that they may be able to put more time and effort into the demands of ministry.  In addition, Armourbearers must make the advancement of his leader top priority, by not only standing by the leader’s side in support, but also ever-ready to lift them up.

In 1st Samuel 14:7, Jonathan’s Armourbearer, when the two were faced with heavy opposition told his leader “Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I am with thee according to thy heart”.  That sense of servitude, loyalty, and bravery must be constantly exemplified in our everyday service.

So if you are searching for a place where you can serve in this capacity and if humility is deep in your spirit, join us on Sunday mornings in the Armourbearer’s Class.
